CARE International UK’s communications team created #March4Women as CARE’s annual flagship campaign event. #March4Women sought to dominate coverage around International Women’s Day on 8 March by creating a family-friendly ‘go-to’ activity in the UK, while positioning CARE as a brand that has women and girls at its heart. Our media coverage had a phenomenal reach of 1.8 billion, and brought together thousands of people in solidarity. This PR Event was unique in intertwining the history of women’s rights in the UK with contemporary women’s rights issues worldwide, successfully highlighting the fact that the struggle for women’s rights still goes on.
