Organ Donation - Reaching out to BAME communities, Department of Health and Social Care
With one person a day dying on organ donor waiting lists, changing the law to a model of presumed consent could save thousands of lives. But it was vital that the Department of Health engaged in a fully inclusive way to ensure a wide range of views were heard in developing the policy. Our campaign built highly effective partnerships with religious groups and BAME media to reach into audience groups traditionally untouched by Government consultations. The result was vibrant and sustained engagement which has helped to break the silence around organ donation and invited some important, life-saving conversations.
