We reached over 20 million people with the Marie Curie Memory Tree - which glowed brighter as people tweeted memories of those they would miss at Christmas.

What's more, our research showed 32% of the UK population was aware of the tree.

Of those exposed, almost half (49%) said it increased their awareness of Marie Curie and a similar proportion (51%) said they were more likely to donate as a result.

Three quarters (76%) of those aware of the campaign were also aware of the core message - that Marie Curie brings light in people's darkest hours.
