Head of Communications , Vivo Energy
Rob has been Head of Communications for Vivo Energy (the market-leading, pan-African retailer and distributor of Shell and Engen-branded fuels and lubricants) since 2015. He is responsible for development and delivery of all parts of the internal and external communications strategy, to help promote and enhance the company's corporate image. Prior to making the move in-house, Rob spent 15 years at Hill+Knowlton Strategies in London, Riyadh and Dubai including long term in house secondments. He likes to think of himself as a hand on, resourceful and entrepreneurial communicator. He always tries to be dependable, results-focused, and collaborative. Outside of work Rob enjoys travel. A long time ago, after finishing university, he backpacked the length of Africa, covering eight countries in nine months. That trip started his love of the continent, which has played a significant part in his career. He's married, has two teenage sons, and regularly gets walked by his huge Giant Schnauzer puppy.
