British Medical Association

COVID-19 has represented an unprecedented challenge for the medical profession and therefore the British Medical Association. Like many organisations our offices closed, and staff were given short notice to the switch to home-working at the beginning of March 2020. However the pandemic represented a much more profound challenge for the U.K.’s only trade union for all doctors and medical students. It necessitated a dramatic increase in engagement with members, stakeholders, and the media. And, despite the pressures on them, it has led to new ways of working that have allowed for greater integration and collaboration amongst teams.
