Love Me Do Comes Home

Agency: SHOOK for the National Trust

October 2022 marked the 60th anniversary of the Beatles’ debut single Love Me Do. It was written at 20 Forthlin Road, a terraced council house where the world changed forever.

The National Trust, which now cares for Forthlin, wants its story to inspire new creativity. So, we took Love Me Do back to where it was born, with a front-room concert featuring rising, working-class acts who covered the song and recorded original music. Over 12,000 people tuned- in, heartland audiences applauded an idea that “made the place come alive” and awareness the Trust cares for working class history increased 85%.
