Financial fraud is endemic. In the first half of 2020, the British public lost £55.2 million to investment scams. Fraudsters seized on growing uncertainty as the pandemic took hold - in May 2020, Santander UK recorded its highest ever volume of investment fraud claims. Our campaign was tasked with helping people spot the warning signs so Santander could help turn the tide. We took a leaf out of the fraudsters’ playbook by using their own words against them, via the medium of poetry, we composed pieces specifically to resonate with two distinct and vulnerable target audiences.
