Battenhall

Battenhall has redefined PR for the social media age. The agency’s unique approach, where 20% of time is spent on innovation, has hit the mark this year, delivering record high revenues of £9m, up 14% on last year. Battenhall has expanded in the UK and grown new teams in Asia, North America and Europe, opening for business in Germany in December 2024. The agency developed and launched its own analytics tool, increasing software revenue 400%, and won a record number of brand-name clients, including Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Sky and Lloyds Banking Group.

In total, Battenhall won 78 new briefs and 10 major clients in the last year, more than double the target. This was underpinned by developments in the agency’s DE&I work, seeing Battenhall become the first PR agency to be signed up as a partner to Stormzy’s Merky FC program, and hiring four of the Merky FC cohort, twice the number originally planned.

This year Battenhall also spun out its social media safety non-profit, Raise, which made headlines for its work on improving social media safety for young people. This involved recruiting a global team of 24 volunteers in April 2025, including school students, agency MDs and in-house directors – from Sydney to Scotland, and Barcelona to Bristol. Through Raise, Battenhall delivered educational programs in schools, industry-shifting advisory, and is campaigning this year to positively influence social media regulation.
