How do you take one of the most famous ad lines of all time, "Should've gone to Specsavers," and make it relevant for a socially savvy, values conscious, Gen Z audience, overloaded with content… without alienating your core?

We turned it in to an entertainment series. We followed the nation’s self-proclaimed worst football team, an underdog squad suddenly backed with Premier League-level sponsorship from Specsavers. Their journey was delivered to our audience via an eight-part content series to show them, and the nation, why everyone, "Should’ve gone to Specsavers", driving a 10pp increase in awareness and 72% increase in consideration, making them more popular, with this generation, than Netflix.
