Citypress thrived over the last year by navigating lockdown challenges, winning new work and looking after its people like never before. In January 2021, Citypress staff became owners of the agency. Its shareholders sold a majority stake to an Employee Ownership Trust, which gives everyone a say in how Citypress is run and a sizeable share of its profits. The agency grew revenue by 6% in 2020, promoted 25 people and hired 18 new starters. Standout campaigns during the year included #caterpillarsforcancer for Aldi in its chocolate cake dispute with M&S and work for the NHS to support Nightingale Hospitals.
