Electrical Safety First


In the last year, our dedicated Communications Team has secured more media coverage than at any point in the charity’s history. Forced life-and-death issues onto the national agenda. Effected life-saving legislation. Increased our brand recognition by 5.7%. All achieved in-house.

Our standout achievements: • Secured 3,584 individual pieces of media coverage. • Creating 1.28bn opportunities to see/hear. • 99% of this coverage’s sentiment was “positive”. • Our social media channels achieved 3.1m impressions and 87,088 engagements. • Attracted 4,805,787 page views to our website. • Our e-bike & online marketplaces campaigns resulted in action referenced in the King’s Speech. • Our continued pressure helped shape the resultant Product Regulation and Metrology Bill. • Secured mandatory five-year electrical safety checks for all UK private rented homes when N.Ireland joined the other nations in Q2 2025. • We increased the charity’s brand recognition from 21% to 26.63% between May 2024 and May 2025 (Censuswide: 10,456 sample size).

Our niche, quite technical area of electrical safety isn’t the sexiest. But we’re driven by a passion to avert the tragedies we see each week. We work hard and creatively.
