Client: Top Secret Comedy Club
The Top Secret Comedy Club wanted global fame without spending global cash. With a tiny £1,500 ambitions were high, the bar was low, and risk of offending people through the roof. We needed to target the clubs main audience demographic (tourists) with a story that made headlines, turned heads, and packed seats. We created an international talking point around the club BANNING audience members with Botox - as stand up acts claim they're sick of Brit's frozen faces putting them off their performances. With a smart DIY approach to content and engineering social interaction to take the story worldwide we landed hundreds of pieces of coverage, Whoopi Goldberg debated the club banning Botox on The View, America’s biggest talk show, and we arrived down under with a segment on The Morning Show. And one of Germany’s biggest TV shows Taff TV even sent a reporter to London to ask Brit’s opinions on the club’s ban as part of a 10-minute segment on the show.
