Back Market is famous for selling high-quality, pre-owned phones and laptops. But for its 2024 campaign, it wanted to build awareness and drive sales for a new category on its platform: refurbished kitchen tech.

Working alongside one of London’s most celebrated and innovative chefs, Words + Pixels created an agenda-setting, two-nights-only “noshtalgic” restaurant experience that enabled the brand to showcase its full range of high-quality kitchen equipment, while massively amplifying its core credentials on sustainability and recycling across both earned and owned spaces.

The resulting campaign set the template for brand activity across global markets – driving unprecedented growth in sales of small household appliances across Back Market’s e-commerce channels, landing a slew of national news and consumer content that comfortably exceeded even the most optimistic media KPIs, and connecting powerfully with the UK’s most important restaurant and food industry influencers.
