Bring Kids Back UA

Atticus Partners

Client: Office of the President of Ukraine

Atticus successfully delivered a PR-led integrated campaign that successfully elevated the return of abducted Ukrainian children into a sustained global priority, reinforcing one core diplomatic message: the return of Ukraine’s stolen children is a non-negotiable condition for peace. Key international media markets for the campaign since May 2025 have included the UK, United States and Italy. We built a three-pillared strategy based on a clear focus: media momentum would only be sustained if the issue became politically unavoidable. This included using political engagement to drive PR; developing evidence-led credibility to defeat disinformation; and using human storytelling to make a compelling case for a diplomatic demand. Key campaign activations since May 2025 have included securing extensive tier-one media coverage for Yale Humanitarian Research Lab’s report on the militarisation of Ukrainian children. We developed and executed a media plan for a BKB UA delegation visit to Rome and the Vatican, including on-the-ground coordination and interview management, the centrepiece of which was a meeting for abducted children with the Pope, again securing extensive tier-one media coverage. Through sustained strategic engagement and narrative development, Atticus helped elevate the issue to the highest levels of US influence, contributing to a major milestone: the US First Lady writing directly to the President of Russia regarding children caught up in the war. Our work has helped shift the international narrative - the return of abducted Ukrainian children is now widely recognised as a defining test of justice, accountability and peace.
