Client: Virgin Media O2
O2 turned ticket touting from an everyday consumer challenge into a live legislative priority. Through a PR led public affairs pressure campaign, combining original research, investigations, cultural activations, and targeted Westminster engagement - we kept secondary ticketing reform on the Government’s agenda as momentum risked stalling. Our evidence exposed resale mark-ups of up to 490% and a growing reliance on credit and loans to attend live events, translating public anger into sustained political pressure through media engagement, cultural advocacy, coalition building and parliamentary mobilisation, including the Ticket Abuse APPG and MPs representing 19 O2 Academies. The result was decisive, as in November the Government announced its intention to ban the resale of tickets above face value, transforming a long-running consumer issue into a legislative commitment and O2 was quoted in the Government’s announcement.
