Securing a future for hospices

Hospices are facing unprecedented challenges – rising costs and stagnating statutory funding are forcing many to cut services, all at a time when rising demand means their care will be needed more than ever.

As the national champion for hospices, we knew someone needed to speak up for the sector, targeting decision makers who had the power to help. We campaigned to secure short-term emergency funding for the hospice sector and laid the groundwork for reform of how hospices are funded, putting Governments under pressure from multiple directions: through parliaments, the media, and the general public.
