A large gap exists between young people who dream of starting a business and those who do. Backed by insight that fear of failure is the biggest barrier, we created The Grade Escape, hijacked A-Level Results Day and flipped the narrative from ‘pass or fail’ to entrepreneurial possibility. At the heart of the idea we established a young entrepreneurs fund offering £50K in grants and business mentoring to young founders who dared to back themselves. Anchored by Professor Green's lived experience as a young founder, The Grade Escape drove a 12,000 applications, created 10 incredible youth founders and positioned Simply Business as a UK champion of young entrepreneurship - earning results 1,100% above target.
