Testicular cancer is the most common cancer in men aged 15-49 - yet over half don’t check themselves. It’s highly treatable if caught early, but awareness and action remain dangerously low. Embarrassment and stigma continue to make testicular health one of the least openly discussed cancer topics among young men. Our solution was rooted in a simple cultural truth: men are already talking about their testicles - just not in a health context. That insight led to The Real Crown Jewels - a handcrafted, jewel-encrusted installation that turned a familiar euphemism into a national conversation about self-checking. The work became the charity’s most successful campaign to date - delivering over 400 pieces of coverage, record website traffic and a 60% increase in men self-checking behaviour.
