The World of St. Modwen is a bi-annual event, first created with LEX in 2016. It provides an opportunity to bring all employees together, for the business to communicate their future strategic vision, to create a deeper understanding of the business, manage change collectively and celebrate success whilst providing a platform for all employees to meet and share.
The WOSM 2019 was hosted at The Vox, Birmingham on 10th December.
The event was a platform to launch St. Modwen’s new business manifesto, the Responsible Business Ambitions and set out it’s future objectives and targets. The CEO, Mark Allen, wanted the event to inspire a deeper understanding, belief and accountability amongst employees in the Ambitions; further embedding the company purpose ‘Changing Places, Creating Better Futures’ in practical and achievable change.
LEX’s response was to create a strategic concept that put the new framework at the core of the experience. A method of presenting the new Ambitions, building it into the identity and designing an ‘Expo’ style event with six immersive zones linked to the core themes around a central keynote address was the result.
Each zone had a key objective that was brought to life through impactful experiences, immersive set design, high-impact bespoke films, interactive live sessions, technology, Q&A’s facilitated by renowned industry speakers, discussion panels and digital engagement.
600 employees attended and a post event survey revealed that 100% of those surveyed stated that they felt ‘motivated and inspired’ to contribute to St. Modwen’s responsible business ambitions following the even
