Tom Hayes

Maltin PR have represented Tom Hayes, who was convicted of conspiracy to defraud in relation to Libor manipulation in August 2015, since 2016. The Firm has provided communications support to Mr Hayes and his legal team throughout, including in relation to submissions to the Criminal Cases Review Commission, his referral to the Court of Appeal, and subsequent hearing at the Supreme Court. As a result of Maltin’s media work, the perception of Mr Hayes’ case turned from him being the ‘poster boy’ for the 2008 financial crash to him being the victim of a miscarriage of justice. Mr Hayes’ conviction was quashed by the Supreme Court in July 2025, and Maltin PR now supports Mr Hayes’ civil claim against his former employer UBS.
